Dr. P. Ted Strub of Oregon State University has been awarded the Oceanography Society Fellowship for his outstanding contributions in research and service to the oceanographic community. He received the award in the Ocean Sciences Meeting in Honolulu in February 2014. Ted is a member of the original TOPEX/Poseidon Science Team formed in 1988 and is a pioneer in using satellite data for studying the coastal oceans, especially the eastern boundary currents of the World Ocean.
